Medical Advisory Board

Felecia L. Dawson, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist with expertise in holistic,

integrative and functional medicine. After working for a colleague 1990 to 1994, she founded Women for Women where she served as Medical Director, from 1994 to 2016. With over 30 years of serving the women of Georgia, Dr. Dawson has been acknowledged by Essence Magazine as one of the leading female obstetrician-gynecologists in the nation. She has helped train future physicians at Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory University School of Medicine as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Instructor of Gynecology and Obstetrics, respectively.

Dr. Dawson learned quickly in private practice that there was more to healing than pills and surgery. She was the first physician in Georgia, practicing both obstetrics and gynecology, to become board-certified in holistic and integrative medicine. While simultaneously becoming disenchanted with the corporatization of medicine, she discovered the healing power of cannabis. Dr. Dawson closed her practice in 2016 to work full-time on the re-legalization of this medicinal plant. She was also the first obstetrician-gynecologist in the state to join the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.

She co-founded the holistic educational platform, P.L.A.N.T.S. for Lyfe with Marilyn Pierce, RN and Oskii Chevanier, Jamaican herbalist. They co-authored Why We Die, How To Live, which uses evidence-based holistic modalities including cannabis to treat the top ten causes of death in America.
